April’s playlist has arrived full of feel good pop! Have y’all heard the new Iggy Azalea/Jennifer Hudson track!? In love. Also, after attending a show in Nashivlle and seeing local artist, Daphne Willis (I also have one of her songs on the list – that voice THO!) do a mashup of one of her originals and Eleanor Rigby, I put three different versions of the song on this playlist – including a dramatic orchestral arrangement! haha Enjoy!

I was recently asked to participate in an event put on by Nashville Lifestyles Magazine called “Food, Wine, and Design.” In the past, interior designers have been asked to create a beautiful tablescape for a 4 course dinner with wine pairings at Mason’s in the Lowe’s Vanderbilt Hotel to be showcased to ticket purchasers. She grew up sketching and post Miss USA decided to do a sketch of her Miss USA competition evening gown. It caught the attention of other pageant contestants and Ellie L Illustrations was born.  Continue reading

As some of you know from reading prior Vegas posts, Vegas isn’t really my faaaavorite city – I’m not much of a club girl and I don’t get too into gambling. I do love the shopping, restaurants, and pools here and because of various jobs, Miss USA, etc. I think this my 10th trip to Las Vegas (and some of my trips there have lasted over 2 weeks), so I’ve done a lot of the touristy things (aka 99% of what Las Vegas is) a lot of times.

I experienced some new things and some of my favorite old things on this trip which has made it so fun. I was hired for a photo shoot in the Valley of Fire State Park and the scenery there blew my mind!  Continue reading
