Today’s outfit is basically my casual winter uniform. Nashville is just starting to get chilly, but still nice enough that a flannel, jacket, and beanie will keep you feeling warm. IMG_8971I also tend to throw on cowboy boots a lot during the winter months because they are so comfortable. This pair (and most of my pairs) are made by Dan Post. I recently did some at home shopping types of segments for them and went through an educational process about how they make their footwear. Each pair is handmade with a high tech comfort system built in. They continue to evolve their comfort system, so much so that when I got this pair of boots I emailed them to ask if they had done something different because these boots are so comfortable that they required no break in time. Sure enough, these boots have the latest technology in comfort! (It’s called the ultimate flex comfort system in case you’re shopping around and you want the best!)IMG_9013

I’ve also had this pair of jeans for a year now and they still continue to be my favorite. I love the high waist and stretchy material that is so comfortable but still holds its shape. The jeans come in multiple rises if you’re not into the high waist like I am. I even had my mom try on a pair (sans holes) last time I was home and she was totally cute in them too! #AGELESSJEANSIMG_8979IMG_8980_2IMG_8981IMG_8976 IMG_8970

Although you might think it would make sense to have a Christmas playlist this month, this one is my regular MO. Look for a Christmas themed playlist coming soon.

Ok, so my favorites this month? All over the board, just like always. Two versions of the country tune “Riser.” (Dierks Bentley’s version and [one of] the songwriter[s], Steve Moakler’s, version. Both so so good – this song moves me.) I also have two very different versions of “Hotline Bling” because for some reason I can’t get enough of that song and three different Tori Kelly tunes. She is just my absolute favorite pop princess to come along in a long time. Kills it. There are two perfect single girl love songs on this playlist too – “Dear No One” by Queen Tori Kelly and “it’s Strange” by Louis the Child feat. K. Flay (thanks for the suggestion Tammy!). Somehow they strike the balance of speaking to the bad@$$ery of being an independent female but also hoping to find the right person at some point. Well played ladies.  I also have a special place in my heart for Roses by the Chainsmokers. I love the sentiment, I love the track, lyrics, etc. Can’t stop listening.

Scroll down to see the full playlist and as always – tell me what you’re listening to!
