Next weekend I’m heading to a stylish downtown Chicago wedding and I think this pencil dress (again in neoprene, I’m obsessed!) feels like the perfect dress for this wedding. This dress is stylish and sexy while still being conservative enough to be worn in a church. I can’t emphasize enough how comfortable this fabric is. I know I’ll be able to eat and dance in it all night without feeling restricted. This fabric is also easy to roll in a suitcase as it doesn’t wrinkle!
I also think this dress will effortlessly transition into other seasons (Imagine it in winter with a beautiful grey or oxblood wool coat over it!) because of this neutral color. (I am a huge fan of this shade and I think it looks fab on every skin tone and with every hair color!) It also pops more than basic black. (If you’re a bride, this dress also comes in cream and would be great for an engagement party, rehearsal dinner, etc.) I love the way the blousier top creates more curves and a defined waistline.

I’ve also found some other dresses I think would be great for weddings! Some venues call for something more casual. I also took into account different body types including plus, petite, tall, and maternity, as well as different budgets. Here are a few of my favorites – all from ASOS because they offer free shipping both ways – nothing to lose! I often order a dress in two different sizes to see which fits me best, and then return the other. Simply click to shop! I also love that when shopping on ASOS you can see most of their apparel as they offer a runway option for most items. This helps you see the fit and quality of the fabric. Double love!
