Hope you all made it safely through this week – Friday came so soon for me after a busy week! I thought it might be fun to update you guys on some of the things I’ve been doing lately in Nashville.
Co-hosting the Country Music Is Love Concert Benefiting City of Hope:
Loved hosting another event with the lovely Kelly Sutton!
Dustin Lynch is a great live performer!
With Sarah and Justin aka Striking Matches aka two of the most talented people I’ve ever seen sing/play guitar.

Working hard or hardly working?
A surprise performance from Craig Campbell!
Kelly and I with Lauren and Lauren the brains and brawn behind Country Music Is Love.
One of the sweetest, most talented girls in Nashville, Miss Caroline Kole.
Watching Brother’s Osborne perform from backstage
Starting rehearsals for Dancing for Safe Haven with my talented partner Donald Stamper. You’ll be hearing more about the sassy cha cha we’re perfecting and how you can vote for us soon!: Celebrating my dear expectant friend Tessa at her baby shower:
We became friends first competing together at Miss Teen USA 2005, we also attended Belmont University together and have remained friends ever since. Love her!
Cute pic even though it appears as though I don’t have pants on…
Have you ever applied lip color only to look in the mirror 30 minutes later and realize that it has smudged, worn off in the middle, or is completely gone? I’m especially annoyed by this when wearing a bold color, so I had to come up with a way to make the color last all night! This works best when wanting to achieve a matte finish. All you will need is a lip pencil and some high definition powder.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 several times depending on how many kisses you will be giving/glasses of wine you might be sipping.
I like both the matte and the glossy look – but beware, when you put a moisturizing product onto your lips, eventually you will have to reapply the liner. I did this yesterday and with the gloss and the lip color stayed flawless for 4-5 hours, but then it got ugly – keep your pencil handy. If you keep them matte, there is a good chance you will not have to reapply period. In fact, you may have trouble getting it off without a makeup remover! PS: I used MAC’s “cherry” lip pencil to achieve this look – one of my favorite reds!
I love using this technique on clients for weddings and events. Brides wanting to wear a red lip on their wedding won’t have to worry about kissing the color off on to their groom which makes for much better photos!
Catherine and David Nail at the ACMs. She told me that when she got home around 3 am that her lip color was still fully in tact!
