Black Friday aka some of the best prices in shopping have officially commenced! If you’ve never done Black Friday before – this year could make you a convert. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or for others (or if you’re like me both! #treatyoself), I couldn’t let this momentous occasion pass without posting a few of my favorite sales!
I have found myself wearing a ridiculous amount of red and white stripes as of late – I can’t get enough. I also recently purchased a pair of Warby Parker frames that I love dearly. A friend of mine casually mentioned that I looked like “Where’s Waldo.” I’m choosing to take that as a compliment, I mean who wouldn’t want to look like that, ok?! #’Merica #Patriot #Nautical Glasses: Warby Parker “Durand” | Earrings: ESelvi Designs | Pants: Gap | Rings: House of Harlow 1960 and Silpada | Top: Blue Life (similar here) | Belt: Gap | Shoes: Dolce Vita “Kana” | Wristlet: Cole Haan “Britney” | Nails: Essie “Sand Tropez” |

I’m happy to introduce a new section of Wanderlust and Glitter Dust that I’ve been wanting to incorporate for a long time – Fashion Fridays! My best friend Kara McLeland was kind enough to spend hours bending, squatting, getting on the ground, and getting dirty and sweaty to take all of these photos for me!
I’ve always loved styling outfits and mixing high and low end pieces. I figured that I might as well start with a bang: I’m taking what might be known as some of the tackiest fashion – acid washed denim – and showing you 3 ways to wear it right now. I KNOW I should be ashamed of myself, but I love acid washed anything right now and I’m just gonna own it. 🙂 (Check out my Spring 2014 trend forecast here!)
I styled acid washed denim in boho, hipster, and dressed up casual looks.
Just when you think spring has arrived, it snows. (At least in Nashville today…) HOWEVER, that hasn’t stopped me from compiling my list of fashion must-haves for spring 2014.
1.) Distressed denim – Denim is everywhere this spring – the jean jacket is back, they are making acid washed everything, and I love all of the distressed boyfriend jeans, jeggings, and high waisted shorts. Here are a couple pieces I’ll be sporting this spring.
I know some people are gonna hate on these, but I love them. Sorry I’m not sorry. Get your here.
2. Embellished Crop Tops – My friends won’t be surprised to hear this – I’ve been sporting many a crop top for the past several years, but the fancy ones that have been popping up on all of my favorite celebrities have inspired me for spring! My favorites have a loose fit and look awesome with a pencil skirt, or anything high waisted.
I would wear this with high waisted skinny trousers for a fancy night out. Get it here.
This top is a complete lust piece for me at $2185, but if you have to have it, you can get it here.
3.) Sneakers – You saw me sporting a wedge tennis shoe here, and I’m also obsessed with any any all converse!
I definitely need to add a red high top to my collection. 🙂
I’ll take one in each color please.
4.) Bright manicures – Love this fun way to add a pop of color to your look!
Obsessed with this shade (not sure what it’s called)! (Image from laquerlookbook.com)
OPI’s Toucan Do It If You Try
OPI’s Where Did Suzi’s Man Go
5.) Ankle Strap Heels – Right now I think I love ANY shoe I see right now that has an ankle strap. Loving open toe and pointy toe styles alike!
Just scored this Dolce Vita shoe and have been wearing them at every possible opportunity! The look great with boyfriend jeans, skirts, dresses, rompers, etc.
Love this shoe from ASOS! A pop of neon is another look I’m loving for spring!
What are some of the trends you’re looking forward to wearing this spring?
